Storyline

The son of Thomas and Melanie Rensing is kidnapped and the kidnappers demand that the police not become involved.

Thomas Rensing turns to his cousin Ekki Talkotter, who in turn informs his friend and private detective Wilsberg about the events. Naturally, the desperate parents want to protect the life of their child and Wilsberg offers to take care of the money transfer himself.

In the meantime, Melanie Rensing has contacted Inspector Anna Springer without the knowledge of her husband, which leads to additional problems.
