Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
After having some of his statues robbed, antique dealer Leonard Majak turns to private detectives Remington Steele and Laura Holt. They are to find the stolen antiques and then hand them over to Whit Sterling, an importer of antiques.
During their inquiries, Remington and Laura encounter Grace Kelton. When Laura searches her and accusses her of this theft, the cleptomaniac admits the deed and hands Laura the stolen statues. Laura Holt brings the stolen goods as ordered to Whit Sterling in order to complete the task.
Because Sterling surprisingly dies shortly after, the two private detectives begin carrying out an investigation since their interest is sparked. These investigations lead to the crushing realization that they have been used by their client. It turns out that Majak is not an antique dealer, but rather a blackmailer who has taken advantage of the private investigators.
Thereupon, Remington Steele makes his way to the harbour, where there is a ship storing importer Sterling’s goods in its cargo. In order to look around unhindered, Steele passes himself on as a customs officer and succeeds in finding the desired load.
But when he starts examining the goods, the situation escalates and suddenly Steele’s life is in danger.
